Richard Kell is a designer and craftsman living in the north of England. This is one of his many uncommonly useful specialty tools. This bevel gauge is an indispensable quick check for grinding or honing. It has 12 of the most common angles between 15 to 120 degrees. It’s a great way of maintaining and setting angles when grinding. We always talk about what angle a tool should be ground to but without a decent gauge it’s hard to get it right. I found out about this tool from my cabinetmaking teacher, who swears by it. It even has a hole for a key chain so you can always have it around or tie it to your grinder. Solid brass, made in England.
