The seat cushion is a slip seat - either a hardwood frame, or a piece of plywood covered in padding and then wrapped with fabric. After the chair is finished, the completed seat is attached with screws through the corner blocks from underneath.

These plans have been produced in AutoCAD, and printed in large-format on two sheets of high quality, 20 lb. bond paper. These drawings include elevations, plans, and section views.
