Extra Thin Wood Wax Finish is a deeply penetrating thin oil designed for dense, oily hardwoods. It’s a popular choice for high-end walnut tables, mahogany furniture, hardwood flooring and more. Use it to really dive into the wood as an initial coat and top it off with a topcoat of Polyx Oil for a more protective finish; mix in a pigmented Wood Wax Finish for a richly colored second coat; or use it entirely on its own to bring out a lustrous glow in your wood.

Because Extra Thin is deeply penetrating and quick drying, it offers a much shorter drying time (12 hours) and increased coverage compared to most tung oils (20 sq m/liter). As with all Osmo finishes, Extra Thin Wood Wax Finish 1101 is exceptionally resistant to dirt, scuff and liquid stains and brings out wood’s natural beauty.

Extra Thin 1101 may be brushed, wiped, dipped or sprayed on. However the finish is applied, you’ll get a breathable finish that won’t crack, peel or flake. Once dry, the finish is food safe and appropriate for children’s toys.

Note: If your wood is very oily, you may need to de-grease the surface with white spirits applied with a lint-free cloth prior to application of the Osmo finish. Make sure the wood surface is clean and dry for best results.

Made in Germany. Domestic Ground shipment only (cannot be shipped by air).
