We decided to carry a few of the Children’s Woodcraft knives in response to requests from carvers who wanted to share their passion for carving with their children.
The knife was designed with children in mind with handles sized for small hands and a small finger guard to give a little extra protection to young learners. The distinctive rounded tip of the blade avoids the danger of a sharp point but doesn’t interfere with proper carving technique. And the knife maintains Orford’s commitment to excellence, with the customary 01 tool steel blade for superior edge retention and split-resistant English Elm handle. Handle length: 4 ¼”. Blade length: 2”.
Packed sharp and ready to use. Blade is protected with a leather strip. Made in the UK.
