We're delighted to round out our selection of chisels with these two sets of imperial size Narex chisels. Narex chisels have long enjoyed a “best value” reputation, and even won this designation in a Fine Woodworking test of 23 chisels. Made in the Czech Republic, the chisels are strikingly well-made for their price. Their blades are made from chrome-manganese steel hardened to Rc59, are easy to sharpen and hold the edge well. The backs are very, very slightly concave so flattening to the edge is very quickly done and the blades are thin and elegant. The sides of the chisels are beveled nearly to the edge (to a hair over 1/32") which makes them perfect for workshop joinery. The handles are European hornbeam and will stand up to your workshop malleting. They fit well in the hand, good for easy grasping with one hand or paring with both hands.

We are stocking two sets of four. The first set includes the most commonly needed sizes: 1/4", 1/2", 3/4" and 1". The second box fills the gaps with 1/8", 3/8", 5/8" and 7/8" sizes.

Made in the Czech Republic.
