Brusso straight pivot hinges are used for full coverage doors that span the entire opening of the door frame. Because the hinge is mortised into the carcase and door, and extends to the side, they give a clean modern look to the front of cabinets and furniture.
Pivot hinges are installed into shallow mortises cut into the top and bottom of the carcase and door. Its a simple process, but we find it useful to remember that that an overzealous mortising job can be easily fixed with a thin shim.
Brusso straight pivot hinges are machined to precision tolerances, and finished with a classy burnished look. Their elegant design and construction, and wide range of sizes (all available in brass or stainless), make these some of Brusso's most popular hinges.
Hinges are sold as pairs and include screws for installation. Brass screws can strip in hardwood if not properly installed - pre-drill and wax threads. A steel screw is included with smaller hinges for pre-threading screw holes.
For measured drawings of each hinge download the corresponding PDF.
