Final finishing doesn't have to be difficult, time-consuming, or messy. The Festool Surfix tackles one of the hardest-to-nail finishing tasks with ease, dispensing oil directly from the squeezable handle and into the sponge, so you can control the amount and the distribution of oil across your surface, without covering your hands or clothes. This self-contained system not only provides quick and even distribution but also reduces costs associated with throwaway rags and brushes. The oil is plain old linseed oil, with some modern driers to give you the look of a traditional finish, with the durability of a polymerizing oil finish, without the hazardous chemicals usually associated with finishing oils. Festool offers three grades of this natural linseed-based oil, including heavy-Duty, one-step and outdoor formulas, suitable for light and dark wood for virtually any indoor or outdoor application. If you like the look and feel of an oil finish with the Surfix system you now have a safe, easy way to apply a natural oil finish.

There are three oils:

• One-Step Oil: Best option for indoor, lower-traffic surfaces, including furniture, shelving and cabinets, among others. Oils and waxes at once, with excellent polishing properties. This is the most popular choice.MSDS sheet
• Heavy-Duty Oil: Best solution for higher-traffic indoor surfaces, including dining tables, work surfaces, and stairs, among others. Penetrates and protects against premature wear and damage.MSDS sheet
• Outdoor Oil: Excellent choice for outdoor applications such as garden furniture, pergolas or even decking. Protects against the elements with natural ingredients that protect against fungal growth and UV damage.MSDS sheet

In addition to a kit containing a little of everything you can purchase individual applications with oil, Foam pads and Viles fiberous abrasives for the applicator, and of course oil refills.

The kit contains: One Applicator, 0.3L of Heavy-Duty Oil, 0.3L of One-Step Oil, and 0.3L of Outdoor Oil, plus 5 Replacement Sponges, 20 assorted sheets of 150 mm wood-specific, Rubin and Brilliant abrasives, and 10 more pieces of Vlies polishing abrasives, all packed in a Systainer 3.
