4mm Domino for 1/2 Plywood

It was a real revelation of the negative sort when I needed to join some 1/2" plywood a few months ago and I found out my Domino didn't go that small. So I am really pleased to announce that as of August 1, 2009 a 4mm bit and 4mm x 20mm dominos are ready to rumba!!

Also introduced on the same day are the first changes to the domino. The round stops go away to be replaced by flat ones. Unlike the round stops these stops can be locked up so that they don't get in the way of certain operations. I'm not sure if it's really a universal advantage - time will tell as we use the new machine.

A new, narrower support fence has also shown up, again, I haven't used it enough to decide how important it is - evolution not revolution - a marginal or a big improvement?

Back to the 4mm domino. The cutter is a real shorty - my guess because it needs to be shorter so it won't break.

That all done it works like a charm and I think it will be a must have accessory for just about everyone with a domino. As of now the 4mm cutter is not included in the domino assortment and must be purchased separately.
